Jessica Steen

 

Jessica Steen is a Canadian actress, appearing in TV and in films. She is renowned for her appearances in Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future, Homefront, Earth 2, Armageddon, Left Behind: World at War, NCIS, Flashpoint and the CBC series Heartland.



 



 Personal life



 Jessica Steen was the daughter of Joanna Noyes (an actress) and Jan Steen (an actor and director). She is of Dutch, Scottish and Irish descendance.



 



 Steen is also an animal rights advocate and environmentalist, in addition to her business in entertainment. Steen is a strong supporter of David Suzuki, the World Society for the Protection of Animals and the Western Canadian Wilderness Committee, in addition to other groups. She is a qualified diver, and is skilled in a variety of circus arts including fire-twirling, stilt-walking , fire-twirling and stilt-walking.
